One time I got a guy into structure, he was flying a Harbinger and I was in an Absolution. I told him to eject and warp to the station while I left and promised his ship would not be destroyed.
I didnt lie, I just warped to another station, got out, came back and took his harbinger. Much more effective than asking for ISK

hehe... that's evil. I'm surprised someone would fall for that.
Im afraid the poster above me has obviously never been killed in his EvE life, nor has he even been asked for money for his ship
Heres what generally runs through someones mind when he is being threatened with ship loss.
A: Your going to lose your ship if you try and run.
B: Your going to lose your ship if you try and fight.
C: If someone seems like they have at least the slightest honor, and says they will leave your ship alone at no real risk (other than options A and B which both result in its destruction)...why no give it a chance?
If your going to die either way, I would rather leave my ship in the hopes of someone not destroying it. The only down-side to that is if you insured it and you know you insured it. In which case you lose the insurance.
When someone pulls the "You have 5 seconds to get out of your ship" though, insurance is one of the last things that runs through my mind.

Yeah but if someone gets in your ship before it explodes, you dont even get the insurance.
